After many years of having to travel 5+ hours for my son’s academy games and talking to many families in WTX who wanted local competitive competition, I set out to make a change for my daughters age group. I then started as a trail “The Knight Academy” 2021 Fall Season for U9 girls containing 9 teams from Midland, Odessa & Lubbock. It was extremely successful with many coaches from other age groups approaching and asking about the 2022 Spring season. I then knew now was the time to take the leap and expand on what I started. I created The Spot WTX LLC, got sanctioned through US Club Soccer, and am out to create an amazing academy league for West Texas. The Spot gives you the chance to create your own team at an academy age and allow your group of players more time together creating better chemistry by the time your team comes to club age of U11. The Spot’s goal is to create a competitive and long lasting love of soccer for the kids, a family style community for the parents and a strong sense of sportsmanship towards teammates, opposing teams and REFEREES!
